Greetings,
I am working on a request for a source for the pumila SPRING SKIES (Field' 29)
and not making much progress.
The 1939 AIS Checklist tells us it is a DB and that it is a light blue self.
It further says it is "a form of I. pumila, more vigorous and taller than
Azurea." Now, a lot of the early dwarfs, and some much newer that this one,
are apparently lost and HIPS does not have any record of this one being grown
today. Hopefully, we have just missed it.
The person seeking this iris is seeking it because her horticulturalist
grandmother grew it. If you are growing this cultivar HIPS would be delighted
to hear about it. I'd really be delighted to hear you could give this lady a
