I'll certainly defer to your knowledge of your neck of the woods but from my
knowledge of the heritage plant officianados in this county I think that, if
anything, I've understated the level of sophistication in that area. People to
whom authenticity as I used the term is not an issue are probably people who
would not be sensitive to the historic ramifications of iris form anyway. 

In any case, my point was they probably don't need ersatz old irises since
there are plenty of beautiful real old irises, many of which easily out
perform the new stuff. Why not turn them on to the real thing?
