Hi Jan--
Most Bay Area gardens and Central Valley gardens should be at the very
end of their season, but you'd have a better chance on more bloom with
gardens to the North of the Bay Area and in the Sierra foothills.
Our garden is in the lower foothills of Mariposa County, about 2 1/2
hours from the Bay Area (and 45 miles from Yosemite National Park) and
our PEAK bloom date is usually the last week of April-first week of May.

blooming nicely and my SDB seedling beds are nearing peak bloom.
