Re: help with hybridizers and year of introduction

Iris City Gardens lists BLACK GAMECOCK AS registered in '73 by Chowning. 
This is the only LA I have (starting 3rd year) and it has grown
agressively.  When my mother saw it in bloom she unequivocably stated it
was the most beautiful iris she'd ever seen.  I'm hoping to hook my sister
and brother-in-law on the LAs by sharing.  They live in the Houston area
where the TBs don't do well for them.

They also list SEA WISP (Rowlan '84)
