Hello everyone. Spent yesterday in the garden and will report on my
findings. After a topsy turvy winter everything looks good. Some brown
scorched leaves (freeze damage?) and broken leaves (hail storm Fri.). No
soft rot so far!! Lots of increase. This was only in my Dykes bed, plenty
more to be done! I have never sprayed for leaf spot before (get it bad) when
is the best time to do this here in central KS. ? Also, after a hail storm I
usually trim back damaged leaves, is this correct? I also agree with a
limited use of chemicals, but sometimes I need a little help from them, leaf
spot, hen-bit, chickweed controll. But most of all I enjoy the BIRDS &
BUTTERFLYS. Wouldn't do anything to hurt them.
