Ann,
I think that 61 messages doesn't sound like the right number, but I find it
even harder to believe that if you are getting some of the messages you aren't
getting them all.
There is an easy way to check. The Iris-l list server creates a "digest" of
all messages on a daily basis. This digest is just one long message that is
composed of all the individual messages for a particular day. Some peoplw
actually receieve their iris-l messages this way all the time. Would drive me
nutzo. Replying is a real pain. Anyway, you can request the digest for a
particular day or days in the following way. It will cause the listserver to
send you just that one digest, it won't change the way you get the regular
messages. Then you can compare what is in the digest to what you received in
the regular way. To a ge a particular days digest send a message to:
listserv@rt66.com (remember *NOT* listserver@rt66.com)
an email that says:
GET IRIS-L YYMMDD
Where:
yy = year (e.g., 98)
mm = month (e.g., 03)
dd = day (e.g., 15)
So:
GET IRIS-L 980214
would get you the digest for Feb 14, 1998.
I am quoting the command from memory but I think it is right. I will try it
too so if I am wrong I will let you know.
