Congratulations, Linda. You have now officially joined the "victim of
winter rollercoaster freeze damage to TBs club". Jeff seems to get less
of this in his drier climate than we do in the soggy zone. I'm on
digest, so you've already heard from others about this, but as the
official list complainer and 'quester' for TB cultivars that routinely
escape this kind of damage in my 'anti-garden', I figured I should say
something.
At the Feb Region 7 potluck this weekend, Sue Barnes (judge, Sec? for
Region 7, ex-Californian, who has seen my garden in 'full' bloom) sez
there is nothing wrong with either my garden or the way I take care of
my plants. The only things wrong are my soil, my location, my climate,
& my microclimate. We were making jokes about how the rocks are laying
eggs all over the place.
