I want to thank everyone for the praise that has been heaped on my book in
recent days. Makes me feel real good! Recent checks reveal that the book
is selling well and is by far the best-selling iris book on both Amazon and
B&N. I'm convinced this is word-of-mouth advertising, mostly. However, a
nice full page color picture from the book recently graced the front page
of a bookselling insert in Fine Gardening Magazine.
Taunton is trying to get various iris nurseries and growers to sell the
book. If you know someone who owns a mail-order iris nursery, please
encourage them!
On another subject, I will be at the Spring Show in Charlotte, NC, this
coming Saturday, March 6th. I'll be speaking in the Horticultural Theater
at 7 PM on "A Garden of Irises." If you are in the Charlotte area or
planning to attend the show, please stop by!
I'll be off the list from March 12 to 18th. We're taking a quick trip to
England. When I get back, I'll be speaking to the Richmond (VA) Iris
Society at 2 pm, Saturday, March 20th, at St. John's Woods Club House. If
you are interested, contact Phillis Soine at pjsoine@vcu.org.
