Welcome to Iris Talk. I noticed the same thing when I used to live
in Lexington. I think spring conditions such as what Kentucky is having
now is harder on the plants than a brutal winter coldspell.

I hope they don't either. I have no Daffodils here, but I keep
checking the Louisiana Irises for buds almost daily.
