RE variegated foilage

I was out looking at the seedling beds and I came across a TB cross AUTUMN TRYST x COLORWATCH.  Several of the seedlings have already bloomed last fall.  Anyway I was looking for bloom stalks and I noticed that the foliage on a couple of the seedlings looked vaguely variegated.  A little further on down the cross I came across a seedling that was HIGHLY variegated!  Very similar to Zebra.  The cross is from two plicatas.  My question is, is this a common occurrence or do we have a new line into the variegated foliage field?

Where the IBs, SDBs and MDBs are either blooming or have stalks on the way.
