Steve, most of your iris should live if you plant them now, unless they
are so depleted that they are nothing but powder (perhaps very small
rhizomes).  But, if you run out of time in the future to plant your new
acquisitions, try potting them.  Be sure to incorporate plenty of sand
into your planting medium (cactus potting soil works great if you only
have a few, otherwise it is too expensive) for drainage.  You can get
great growth on these by putting them under lights inside.  Or, you
could just set them in your garage near a window if your garage is
insulated.
