About 500 + of top soil insulates us. Very few felt here and nothing more
then a disturbance in the swimming pool water. No tornados, floods,
hurricanes, volcanoes (not too near anyway) just flat ag land with 14,000
foot mountains in the background. 11 inches of rain per year, irrigated by
snow melt from the mountains, hot summers and cool winters. The only thing
I don't like is the air during the summer, it gets a little dirty. Oh and
there aren't a lot of trees. Iris heaven, even LAs do well here.
