Re: TB:The perfect one

From: "Perry Dyer" <pdyer@flash.net>

Well, let' just see what I've VOTED for, for the Dykes, over the years:

1973, my first voting year: New Moon (it won)
1974, Shipshape (it won)
1975, Cotton Blossom (SDB)
1976, Archie Owen (Spuria)
1977-78-79, Lemon Mist
1980, Joyce Terry (Mystique won, no complaints here)
1981, Brown Lasso (BB, it won)
1982-83-84, Ann Chowning (LA)
1985, Beverly Sills (it won)
1986, Sheer Poetry
1987-88-89, Pink Bubbles (BB)
1990, Tide's In (Jesse's Song won)
1991, Extravagant
1992-93, Hellcat (IB, Dusky Challenger won in '92; Edith Wolford in '93)
1994, Silverado (it won)
1995, Honky Tonk Blues (it won)
1996-97-98, Serenity Prayer (SDB, OK I admit it, I voted for my own, figured
it might be my only shot at The Big Prize...)

Now that's a motley crew. Not ashamed of a single vote, although probably
today, looking back, I consider Sheer Poetry and Tide's In the "weakest"
votes.

6 "winners" in 26 ballots. Oh well. It's nice to look back and see I truly
voted my conscience.

I have no secrets (!), and I hope I didn't bore you -- *I* had fun the past
10 minutes, looking back over my "judging career"!
