Janet,

If you think that's a hoot, you should RUN, not walk, to the nearest
mailbox with your check ($14) to Irv and Nancy Pocklington for your own
personal copy of the 1939 AIS Checklist, in which every misspelling and
variant of each and every iris name included therein is meticulously
recorded. When it arrives and you open it up, you will find such
side-splitting pearls of unintended humor as "Plummed Knight" (for PLUMED
KNIGHT), "Pochanotas" (for POCAHONTAS), and "Polinchindle" (for
POLICHINELLE) - and those are from just two pages out of 582! As an added
bonus, there is an extra barrel of laughs in the GENUINE names, such as
PLURABELLE, POGGENBEEK, and POKAGON from the same two pages.
