Aril/aril bred are pretty greedy, they like to be fed in the growing
season, not bloom, so yes I agree with the advice you have already received. I
really feed well every three years or so when I redo the beds. We had a lot of
rain this past winter so I'm not sure what is left for the flowers (plants) in
my garden. Poor babies are probably just starving, or maybe they have just
the right amount and I worry too much.
Hope your arils do well for you. I'm looking at possibly 3/4 weeks for
the first to bloom here. Arnold Ferguson, who grows his pure arils under a
clear poly roof will probably have bloom in 2 weeks. Hope so as we have a
judges training scheduled at his garden on the 10th of April.
