Greetings.
The grandson of Ray Fielding of California is looking for his grandfather's
introductions. Fielding registered several irise in the fifties, and possibly
earlier, including the arilbred GAY STRIPES, for which I have provided a
referral already.
We are looking for HIGH TOR, a tall bearded which was introduced in 1952 by a
company in Van Nys California called Sign of the Iris. This was described as
a late blooming 42" tall blue violet self. It won an AIS HM.
If you are growing HIGH TOR and would like to help the family, please drop me
a note at HIPSource@aol.com.
Fielding also registered and introduced ALBA ROYALE (1954) a TB and BUFF
BANNERS (R. 1953) another TB which was not introduced. We at HIPS don't have
any record of either of these surviving, but we would adore to hear that they
are out there, and so would the family.
We thank you.
