OT-CHAT

Good afternoon happy people...Thank you to Heather,Jan,Colleen,Rosalie,Dianne and Kitty for their hellos. As to all your questions, I am in West Gippsland, Victoria, with more holstein cows than humans. Our climate is pretty good for growing all types of irises, however it can get extremely wet in winter. We have been in a drought for the last 3 years , whch the TBs like and we get a lot of frosts and sometimes snow which the MEDs need. However it has been hard to keep enough water up to the JIs but they are tougher than most people think and will bloom a bit better next season. At the moment the dutch bulbs are sticking their noses out of the ground , the retics are tucked into their pots, I got some new ones this year and cant wait for them to bloom and my TBs are going to bed for winter......The PCNs are sprouting madly as are their seedlings now we have finally had some decent rain.......till next time........
