I think you and Waltah are just trying to compete with Walmart for
success here <g>

Sure, always room for more - I don't think anything actually died this
year, but some are definitely on my list to go to a better life
somewhere else.

CONFECTIONERY (courtesy Walter, I think?) has been a spectacular success
this year - I can't remember if it is a one or a two year plant, but it
has nice normal blooms and stalk height, plus is pretty with multiple
stalks.

So many folks from iris talk and elsewhere have swapped or given me
stuff to torture here that I'm starting to lose track - many have died,
many more have done poorly, but a few have done spectacularly & many of
those have been things I would never have tried on my own (medians).
Thanks again to all.

Biggest treat at the moment is the big selection of Louisiana irises
that Pecan Grove sent last year as a mixed bag of labelled and
unlabelled plants. I did pay for these, but got about 10 times my
money's worth (my usual exaggeration, but it was a lot). They are
thriving downslope from the barn in a mucky low area. ANN CHOWNING,
BLACK GAMECOCK (thanks to Donald), and a couple with missing labels are
open.

DUSKY CHALLENGER continues to do its wondrous thing here - what a
beautiful awe inspiring creation...
