Will I think all those subject tags should cover this post.

To start with a few iris are still blooming, Pacific mist has a talk
stalk with 3 blooms on it and a 2nd one a few pots away is sending up a
small stalk too. I have one Dusty Changller with one bloom slowly
opening, only it's right down in the fans, no real stalk at all.

One of the 3 sib's died totaly, but one of the other 2 has 3 or 4 fans
coming up and the other one has 1 fan, they are in my canna bog that gets
flooded with water once every 2 weeks. The water has a lot of steer in it
as I dumped about 3 bags of steer in around the canna.

I've already started rebuilding the iris beds, as most of them were just 
about an inch or so high, I'm going to make them at lest 4 to 6 inch high
now, what I do is take a section with nothing growing in it and remove
the soil down to the hardpan and back it up around the space, I then fill
that area with steer and then by moving soild from the back of the canna
bog to the bed area I build it up coveing the steer and bring it up to
about 6in, then I place the iris that I did up real fast and move them
and then cover their roots fast. This will be going on all this summer.
This should give me some more room and while this is going on, I'll be
building other beds where there is nothing now. Now if I could just raid
some of those growers compost piles for the throw aways!

Oh, of the iris I got last year, 95% have grown, with maybe 25% blooming.
Lost a few un-named ones, and all of 'John' died.

I'm thinking of maybe trying some JI's and LA's out here, I have
unlimited water, and I can get bags of eleupus much at wal-mart for $2.00
a bag, am wondering if that would work out here, it is colored black.
