Mike, since I'm trying to use HOM as a pollen parent in several crosses,
chasing vigor & rebloom, not much else, I'm curious as to what the cross
was and what you hoped for that didn't show up. The only cross with it
I've bloomed so far were from a cross with DUSKY CHALLENGER, which had
some cute flowers with a lot wider range of color (various shades of
blue and beard color) than I expected, but low bud count and less than
hoped for survival.
Anybody else out there have experiences with HOM as a parent they'd like
to share?
HOM is a pretty poor spring bloomer for me but unmatched as a fall
bloomer, making clumps and stalks that outshine nearly everything in
spring bloom here.
