	Though MATRIX is not the most glamorous rebloomer on the 
market, it has FORM and reliability.  I crossed SOAP OPERA X 
MATRIX and got some well-formed deep violets that were free of 
haft marks.  EARL OF ESSEX and ASCII ART crossed with 
MATRIX have  given some very clean plics of the color of the older 
TEA APRON, light blue, in other words, and the shape of these is 
nice.  These are not TDF's but could be if they rebloom in the fall.
All of these children came from pollen frozen in October of '97 and 
used in April of '98 as MATRIX did not bloom in the spring of '98.

This year I have about ten pods using fresh pollen from MATRIX.  
Some are plic crosses and others are selfs.  I am not sure if 
MATRIX is a self or plic but it can be used in both fields.  There is a 
sprinkling of cinnamon on the hafts that could be construed as plic 
marks, but these usually fade.  Guess is could be considered a 
LACED COTTON type of plic, maybe.

A new one that offers adventures in many color ranges in 
rebloomers is UNCHAINED MELODY, from our AIS president, 
Clarence Mahan.  I have pods on it.
	
ROSALIE FIGGE has no pollen here and won't accept pollen for 
me.  I even spat on it.  What a wonderful rebloomer though!

Anybody use CANTINA, Monty's best rebloomer here?  Spring or 
fall, this is breathtaking, one of my favorites of all time!
