Hi Sylvia - and WELCOME.

I see that you'd gotten lots of referrals to great sites where you can pick 
up the information you need.  But I'm here to say that you should feel free 
to ask any old questions that come to mind - since a website, like a book, is 
rather static and may not answer the question on your mind (case in point:  
has anyone here ever been helped by hitting the "help" icon?  I haven't).  So 
look at the sites and then fire away.

I know it's iris season in Colorado since my son who lives in Fort Collins 
has called to RAVE about the irises growing right on his street.  To 
understand how remarkable this is, you should know that Troy is a very 
metaphysical, zen, Phishead kinda guy.  The fact that he can even distinguish 
and iris from a rose is no small source of wonder to me.  But he is raving 
and if anyone knows of anyone who lives in Ft. Collins, raise your hand.

ANYWAY, Sylvia - DO try to get around to some iris gardens in your neck of 
the woods to see what's growing and what's looking a little sad.  You'll see 
that not all irises are created equally and reach their full potential in 
every climate (<-- this is called tap dancing), so it helps to see what works 
for you.

It's iris season in the Buffalo, NY area too - and our show was yesterday, 
with the public exhibition being today.  I'm in heaven and I'll report back 
later.
