Hi Bev,

This is the time of year to NOT dig your iris here in the valley.  Best just to
keep
some of the old dead blades picked up.  No need to trim blades right now.  Just
keep soaking plants (best to soak in morning, do not sprinkle plants during high
sun)
with water once or twice a week until late September.
Then you can dig these up and break the clumps apart.  If I can be of any help
