Re: OT-weather-brrrrrr

Hi Jan and All, Is this the time of year when we sit inside and read our
catalogue collections and dream of extravagant purchases? I seem to have a
bad case of" chapmagne taste and beer money", I have indulged in a few
perennial mail orders, however the downside is, that now they have arrived,
its too disgusting outside to plant them., mind you I wouldn't have to water
them in.Jan, you asked about Woodbank Nursery, well he doesn't stock many
irises according to the catalogue, just the ususal cristatas and innom that
seems to be the norm, but Gleannard Nursery in S.A.,he is on the Net, has a
veritable smorgasboard, log onto his site,www.gleannard.com and have a read,
seems to be a good selection of unusal irises.....Finally, no I don't belong
to any Iris Societies, keep thinking that I should but between my horsey
interests (riding, judging,&teaching dressage) and my cattle clubs, we also
show our holsteins and jerseys, had a great season this year.....I am rather
limited for time.........Maybe one day...in the meantime, to all the
non-aussie residents, this is not the land of sunshine at the moment, you
are all probably used to snow, we are not.......ITS COLD!!!!!!! regareds
Wendy ,wendon@dcsi.net.au...where I have tipped out 57mls of rain in 24
hrs.and its still going...........
