DV bloomed less than 12 inches tall here, but had great pollen. Like you,
I'm attracted to the pattern and color. I'm also intrigued by the rebloom
reports from California. I used the pollen on a seedling with terrific
height & branching that is from rebloom breeding. Think I got a take.
BEST BET seedlings of mine never were much to look at so I gave up. It grows
so poorly here that it's no longer in the public garden and I doubt anyone
has it in this area.
I have pods set on VISITING ROYALTY & CHINESE NEW YEAR. I used the pollen
from one of my most faithful rebloom seedlings. Joe said CNY reblooms for
him on a regular basis. They are new to my garden and I've been told you
should never set seed on a first year plant. But I couldn't resist. Ah,
well . . . if you can't have fun.
