"Never set seed on a first-year plant"?  Yikes!  Most of my 
foundation plants for my hyb project are first-year.  And even more 
next year.  Considering how long it takes from cross to seedling, 
I'll be an old lady by the time I get to the proper timeframe.  Well, 
fools will venture...  so I'm not curbing my cross lust.
