up date on red and trashing irises

I was wondering if anybodys heard on how close, to a true red is 
coming along.Not complaining to much cause i like some of the ones 
ive seen in pics, i finally got a red at night iris, and i had it 
bloom for me,I got kinda lucky I went to this nursey, and was hopeing 
to find a red one a black one and a varigated one,didnt care whcih 
one i found as long as i got one, well i ended up with all 3 and it 
was the only ones they had, i felt lucky as can be. any way the red 
bloomed for me.now im hoping for next year on the others and the ones
ive never had bloom for me,
ON the trashing subject, I feel like if theyre your plants and you 
bred them you can do what you want with them.
