Three or four years seems about right for most TB cultivars, though some
(Pagan Pink, Persian Berry, Stingray) like to be left alone. I just break
out the dead rhizomes when it seems appropriate. Others (Ebony Dream,
Bengal Tiger) become stunted in a year or two without separation and new
soil.
