Re: TB:EDITH WOLFORD

Speaking of 'Edith Wolford' types (and is there anyone who isn't
tired of hearing slams on this iris?), nobody has mentioned the
similar, but more deeply colored 'Jurassic Park,' which is a winner
here in central VA. Interestingly, one clump looked like a bloomout,
but now there are little shoots popping up all around.

Checking 'round for strong growers yesterday I took particular note
of 'Diabolique' and 'Bold Fashion,' as well as 'Uncle Charlie.'
'High Stakes' which borers reduced to a nubbin last spring has come
back strong and should bloom next year. This iris was the best I saw
at the OKC convention. Both this and 'Diabolique' are potential
future Dykes winners for Schreiners'.
