Mesmerizer stalks tend to fall over. One that had a good pod that I wanted

For those listers who are not judges and have not seen the AIS Ballot this
year, there are 47 irises listed in the Dykes Medal category, including other
TB's. There are very deserving choices in JI's, SI's, MTB's SDB's, BB's,
etc. I know I am dreaming, but wouldn't it be nice for a great garden iris
that happens not to be a TB to win the Dykes? The British Iris Society (that
actually awards the American Dykes) has given their Dykes to other than TB's.
(I can hear the protests already...<G>)
