Re: HYB:Is THORNBIRD not a good cross?

Hi Paul,
In the past it has been a good idea not to cross two SAs, too much
tweakiness would result. Lately, we seem to have gotten past a lot of the
instability in the SAs. Most of our SA seedlings have come from SA X
non-SA. however in the past five years a lot of the nicer SA seedlings have
come from two or more SAs in the parentage. After spending 15 years weeding
out unstable SAs the pool seems to be stabilizing.
