HYB: humor? despair?

I think I am seriously in need of intervention... trying hard not to
make as many crosses this year as last, but so far it looks like every
cross I've made is forming a pod.

And I can't quit staring at seedlings that are really not worth crossing
with anything, but are very healthy, and fertile, and blooming on
increase as well as mother fans, and imagining what it would take to
create some keeper kids....

Like those short, non-descript very dark purple plicatas from ART DECO X
UNDERSTUDY (I don't even like plicatas!), and all those muddy pinkish
PINK FORMAL ugly kids....
