Gerry, I know the feeling of being left out of the iris tour activities due to
hip replacement.  I had mine, a total, 2 years ago this June, and was deprived
in the same way you have been/are.  Best wishes for a complete recovery.  You
never realize how great a blessing is a seemingly little thing like walking
until you can't do it.  I remember how longingly I looked at people taking
walking for granted and wondered if I would ever be able to do that again.
Walking through the iris gardens magnifies the simple pleasure, and I know how
much you that can be missed.  You letter brings back so many memories.
