Re: TB: CULT: Best Deep Blues?

Mike:

Some of the "deep blues" recommended were actually medium to medium-light
(Breakers, for one); some were deep purples (sometimes called blue to increase
sales). Research before buying. Rippling River has some odd combination of
genes (Blyth has a yellow amoena seedling from it) that somehow mixes to
darken the blue; it is an ultra-dark navy. I seem to recall an even worse
performer, Dress Blues, that may have been a slightly-deeper-than-mid blue, if
I remember correctly. What was the name of that blue-black amoena/neglecta,
probably about 20 years old, that everyone tried to breed better form into?
Can anyone remember? That one had unmistakable color.
