Linda -- Winterberry Gardens, being in the Blue Ridge, rather than the
foothills, was not on the tour and is just hitting its peak right now.
That's the spot to go if you want to see recent intros, particularly
rebloomers, and talk to a couple of very knowedgeable hybridizers. (Don's
book is due out this fall.) Getting there from your place is an easy
shot. Just get onto I-81 in Tennessee and head north to Winchester,
Virginia. It's only about 25 miles over the hills northwest from there.
But it is an overnight trip for you, not a day trip. Maybe you can get
someone to care for any livestock you have for a overnight trip. Don and
Ginny Spoon would just appreciate a call or e-mail to let them know you're
coming. I'd encourage you to do it. They can give you the driving
directions from Winchester, or you can get them from Mapquest. The address
is 1225 Reynolds Road, Cross Junction, VA 22625, and their e-mail is
