  Could you post a photo of one of these seedlings to Iris-photo?

  Chuck:  Those seedlings (years ago) were too ugly to save or photograph; I
do not own a digital camera or a scanner, and I am not on iris-photos.  Sorry,
not a chance here, but thanks for the curiosity.

  They were minimally ruffled (think Gnu and its parent Maria Tormena),
bloomed short, and had open standards.  The clean hafts and the black cherry
bitone color (all were similar) were the only decent features.
