HYB:seedlings:this & that

While planting seedlings this morning my mind wandered. <vbg> Like when
doesn't it!!??

Many 'pollen daubers' have mentioned that they only plant a select few from
each cross. I did this when space was limited. But I have a question.

If you only plant the largest seedlings, are you planting the strongest or
the earliest?

Last year I made an accidental cross! I thought I'd put the pollen on
something else!! <red face> Both seedlings were white and in the same section of
the garden! (In my defense). Anyhoo . . .I planted the seedlings from this
cross this morning. 1903:((Silverado X Immortality) x (Bridge In Time x (
Feedback x Titan's Glory))) (robust plant habit) X Pretty Woman. About half
had PBF. Sorted accordingly. 28 total.

One cross (Softly Renewed X Star Gate) (gives you Laced Cotton, Violet
Miracle, Feedback2.). All of the seedlings from this cross had noticeable feeder
roots. (others did not) This often indicates rebloom!! At the very least
they should grow well.

Seedling repeat bloom is starting. Have one showing color!
