Re: HYB: bee pods


Betty, I see this happen enough times that I'm suspicious that the wee
critters are moving pollen around, or just our puttering around the
plant makes other blooms more receptive.

I went back and checked my notes on those HELEN COLLINGWOOD bee babies
.  They look so much like ROMANTIC EVENING could be a pollen donor, and
I had a vague memory of making that cross.  Sure enough, I <did> make
the cross, but it failed, then the bee pod showed up.

Where oh where is that kitchen DNA analyzer when I need it <g>

<Some I had failed crosses on, later sat bee  pods!  Grr!
