RE: Do goats eat irises?

Goats will eat just about anything depending on their temperment and level
of stubbornness including but not limited to; mail, plastic car moldings and
motor oil, labels off of just about anything especially if it has water
soluble glue, signs, et al.

If it's green they will try it.......but.......they are relatives of deer
and caprines, sooooo..there may be hope...LOL

I used to have a grade "B" goat dairy (in another lifetime) and....I do know
goats....and.......I don't have them anymore!!

Subject: [iris] Do goats eat irises?

We recently sold our country home and moved to the city. In the country
home
I had over 500 different varieties of iris and 200 varieties of daylilies.
Yesterday we went back to load up our tractor that we had sold and the
neighbors said that the new owners plan to raise goats.

Will the goats eat the irises or daylilies? I don't care as it is no longer
mine, but they said that they really loved the plants.
