RE: PHOTO: tip on labeling

Hi Christian,

I picked up at a Radio Shack a shield for $3.98 made by Olympus that glues
to the outside of my digital camera and shades the digital readout. It
really helps shade the sun.

I'll second the auto-focus thing. I can rarely see the pictures in the
display on my camera when I'm outside... but I'm always surprised at how
good my pictures turn out when I get them to the computer.

And I have had to resort to cropping or zooming a couple of times to be
able to read the label I thought I had caught in the picture.

  Hi,
If you let your camera do an auto focus it generally works. Sometimes I
have to open the label in photo shop and make the picture sharper or
increase the contrast so I can read the label but mostly the auto focus
brings the label in to a readable form, not on the camera but on the
  computer.

Good idea if you get the technique down right. I've tried this on a
couple of different occasions. Never seem to get close enough to the
label for it to show properly in the picture.
