I am not Alex but I can attest to Round Up and irises.
  The farmer behind my house literally put round up on
my big iris bed..The front row took a direct hit from
the spray rig with the rest of the bed getting
drift..it even drifted into another bed over 100 feet
away...All of my irises are surviving...the blooms on
newer plants were aborted but established clumps went
ahead and bloomed..NOT PRETTY BLOOMS~~ NOT EVEN ID ed
as Irises but they did bloom.
