Hi Linda, I thought about testing both ways with the same cultivars bleached and unbleached from the same source, but I decided that it would not work primarily because the seller would probably very carefully follow the rules of bleach drench and there would be no stunting or distortion. I had one of these cultivars in a bed with seven other iris. It stunted and distorted and all the others grew and bloomed normally. This year, which was a year late for bloom on new clutivars for me, that iris grew much better and bloomed well. It looks normal now. I had all the other iris from this garden except one replacement in the same bed and with other iris I have had for awhile. None of the other iris stunted or distorted, but all of those from this garden were affected from mildly to severely. To be fair I think I will ask the seller to replace one of those that died and two of the worst affected, raise them and send the information to them. I already have the bleached side of the equation in pictures and we can compare it to the unbleached side. I do not intend to mention the name of the seller because I am not attempting to harm the business. In my opinion this was caused by a mistake. E.
