MED Bloom at last

Today (Monday the 5th) we finally had the first bearded iris bloom. The old
MDB 'French Wine' and the SDB 'Cry Baby' both opened flowers. This is a good
two weeks later than normal. Although it is over three weeks since we have
had any frost, the days have been cool and cloudy with more rain than normal
during late April, early May. In any event, the parade has begun.
