APOLOGIES to you and the other members of the list....I have jumped in and
taken advantage of all the expertise and camaraderie without introducing
myself. Let me try to make amends: I live in Raleigh, NC and grow (per
recent uncoded, premature posting) mostly lovely but unlabeled iris. My
neighborhood is called Laurel Hills for its old-mountain microclimate and
montane flora (mountain laurel, galax, pinxter flower, etc), found
infrequently in the piedmont. This spring, most of my time has been spent
taking advantage of the opportunities for re-landscaping provided by
Hurricane Fran last September. I now have expanded possibilities for
gardening in sun, including IRIS! I am looking forward to expanding my
acquaintance with this list and the list members....and will try to do better
at learning and observing protocol!
