My irises in bloom by the 16th?I wish. If i'm lucky I'll have leaves on all
my plants by then. Actually half of them seem to be having a rough year so
far. I propagated them and moved half to a new bed I dug last fall that has
afternoon sun, they had only sun in the morning before, thinking this would
be good for them. They look sick. The ones still in the morning sun are
healthy and quite large, the ones i moved have leaves, maybe 10 inches on the
largest one and the leaves look burnt. Maybe they hate their new fertilizer?
The stuff i've feeding them this year is 19-28-16 i believe. Should it have a
different balance? My mom was feeding them 30-10-10 last year without my
knowledge. She'd spray them with it when she was spraying her roses and they
never did this.
