But she must be painting modern irises- I haven't viewed them yet- and he was
painting "historical or specie irises which were modern then".  The orris
root desirer's are going to grow Van Gogh type irises.  We purchased a
beautiful mug/Van Gogh's blue irises at Detroit Institutue- but I don't want
to grow them. Welcome Maggie, I have only been on a few weeks but I have
grown iris since 1956 which my mother brought not the oldest then but it
didn't take long to discover the newer irises -Halls, Faye's pinks
especially.  We've been hooked ever since and now I have several of my
siberian introductions being grown. Anna Mae
