AIS BULLETIN

Maybe I can help unscramble the post office
discussion. The bulletin is mailed as a periodical bulk mailing, meaning,
which does not give it first class service . Bulk mailings are bagged by
the publisher or someone they hire to do their mailings. They sort these
into bags as requested by the PO. If you live in an area where there are
only a handful (3 or 4) AIS subscribers, then it probably will take you
longer to receive yours. The sortations may include one entire state in
one bag. This means the bag must be opened and sorted again with a
breakdown for 3 digit areas and then sorted once more for the individuals 5
digit area. Hope I haven't confused you. Some individuals may have had
their bulletin sorted as many as 5 or 6 times. Thus a delay. P.S. Maybe
you could ask your local office if they could better explain the delay.
