In our climate, which is probably the same as yours,  we treat the
arilbreds the same as our other beardeds.  We give them a deep watering
once a week.  This keeps them green and producing large rhizomes for
bloom next year.  I only grow two pure arils, Turkish Topaz and Grand
Vizer and treat these the same also. 
 
Please note that this culture may not work in other parts of the
country.
