main concern are the beautiful Dahlias and Peony's. They have approximately
1 1/2 acres of Iris. I have always missed their bloom as I am always busy in
my own garden at that time. Silly don't you think? I would like to go there
next week if I have a chance, but I have several gardening projects under
way and familly obligations as well. I am working in a nursery this year and
I can't beleive the amount of hours the owners put in. Never ever start a
nursery!!!

Another place to see is UBC botanical gardens. They have a fairly extensive
selection of species iris and give walking tours as well. They are tucked
away in unusual spots. We were there two weeks ago and found I. milseii
tucked into a shady glen. I grow it in a pot and take it in the garage for
the winter. They have micro climates that support things outside. Ponds
Beautiful is in Langely, and Rodger has a large selection of JI and other
water Iris. He is about 10 minutes from the border on our side. Our season
is odd like others this year. Two weeks behind and out of order.

I am fortunate though! My significant other, though vertically challenged is
a great cook and he cleans!!!!!!
