I wouldn't blame you if you WERE bragging -- I probably would, too.! Thanks
for your advice. I may try some of the pots along that east fence and water
them from the grapevine emitters which (per some advice I've received) can
be turned off after June for development of the grapes. I'm a bit
apprehensive about that, but what the heck, I think the neighbor's watering
on the other side of the fence might be enough for the grapes, anyway.
Just had a thought -- Maybe pots under the shade of the almond tree at one
side of the driveway. That driveway side is where I put 'gift' plants whose
color doesn't fit into my pre-conceived notions of keeping blue in the
front, purple in the back, and severely limiting reds and oranges in most areas.
Does anyone out there have any thoughts pro or con re the almond tree shade?
